THE VIRTUE THAT IS “”JAGATH GURU”” (02: THE ADWAITHA OF MANKIND)

There came the thunder first, and light followed it. Naturally light comes first before thunder because light travels faster than sound. But the reverse happened in 18th century when Jagath Guru Sri Narayana Guru pronounced ““One Cast, One Religion and One God for Mankind”” Gurudevan’s words heard and travelled faster than the speed of light. His great sayings exploded first and the knowledge of light followed it

It was Jagath Guru Sri Narayana who manifested the real Adwaitha to this world. The Adwaitha of “Humanity” the Adwaitha of “Mankind” and he said “One Cast, One Religion and One God for Mankind” – All is one here. Here Easwara, Jiva and Jagath united and none differentiated one from each other.

Gurudevan again explained it in simple words in his DaivaDashakam. “You are the Creation, the Creator, the Created and the substance for Creation” – There is no dualism here, all are same and one.

Till that time there was no value given for Adwaitha of HUMANITY but only the Adwaitha of Divinity existed in this world. None wanted to see Non Duality in Humanity but all were following Non Duality only in Divinity. We divided people into 4 different sections and some of them were considered privileged and others not. Chathurvarnya system of segregating people in to a SLAB SYSTEM of civil liberties cannot endure with the principles of Adwaitha. The system of dividing mankind into 4 or 5 slab systems doesn’t follow the logic of “Non Duality” or “What is not Two” or “All is one”.

We Hindus were propagating the message of Adwaitha along with Slab System of cast in our daily life saying that I am better privileged, he is medium privileged and you are low privileged and they are not privileged at all. All this happened because we could see non duality only in God; we did not see it in his creation.

In Bhagavad Gita Krishna says, “Arjuna, there was never a time when you were not there. Bhishma, Drona, and all others also have been ever there. The world is also there, always. I, who am the Easwara, you who are the Jiva and this world which is Jagath, all the three have always been existed.”

How is this possible? How can Bhishma or Drona who born some decades past can exist before he was born? How he can exist even after his death? This is where “Adwaitha” play the role of knowledge to purge our thoughts about the union of Easwara, Jiva and Jagath. Adwaitha mean “Non Duality” or “What is not two” In other words there is no difference between Easwara, Jiva and Jagath, all are same. You can’t distinguish one from other.

Adi Shankaracharya was considered champion of the “Adwaitha” darshanam. He travelled all over India with a principal aim to spread the message of Adwaitha. Message of Adwaitha was the need of the hour those days as the population was under the influence of multiple cast systems and religions with multiple Gods. Every small society/community had its own God and separate customs, rituals and its peculiar believes. Adi Shankara educated people to see ONE GOD in all appearance and profile of Gods, whatever form they used to worship those days. His message was very clear “see one and only super natural power in all form of Gods.

Adi Shankara succeeded to a great extent in spreading the message of “Non Duality” in God worshipping but one main aspect of Adwaitha was missed here. Scholars and ignorant equally did not bother about that missing link till Sri Narayana Gurudevan came and taught us the importance of that point. It was “Jiva” that was still treated separate from Eswara and Jagath.

We can also look into Vedas. There are four great sayings in Vedanta, one each from four Vedas. They are
1. Tat tvam asi, means “You are and I am that” [Samaveda, Chandoghya Upanishad]
2. Aham brahmasmi, means “I am Brahman”. [Yejurveda, Brihadaranyaka upanishad]
3. Ayam Atma Brahma, means “The self is Brahman” [Adharvaveda, Mandookhya Upanishad]
4. Prajnanam Brahma, means “The consciousness is Brahman” [Rigveda, Aithareya upanishad]

It is very much clear from the above 4 great Vedanta sayings that none of our Vedas differentiated creation from the creator but we ignorant followed it as if the slab system classification of cast was one of the basic fundamental assumptions of Hinduism. Definitely it was not. It was Gurudevan who manifested the Adwaitha of “Humanity” the Adwaitha of “Mankind” and he said “One Cast, One Religion and One God for Mankind” – All is one here. We have seen the manifestation of Adwaitha in Gods many times through their “VISWAROOPA” in the Puranas. Jagath Guru Sri Narayana manifested the Adwaitha in Mankind in his VISWAROOPA OF CONSCIOUSNESS through his great words “One Cast, One Religion and One God for Mankind” – All is one here.

Please think and learn what else will keep this world a place of compassion and piety if it is not his great words “One Cast, One Religion and One God for Mankind”
